Pointe shoes collection

I wore pointe shoes when I was 11-12 years old, but I do not remember the models at all. The only memory I have was that I was looking forward to wearing them and the second I tried them, they were so painful. I think I quickly lost interest in ballet since it was already difficult (before pointe) to begin with! lol

Here are some of my shoes. From left, Gaynor minden, another GM, Russian pointe Encore, Bloch Balance European, Grishko Maya.

I have another pair (which is not in the picture) which is Russian pointe Rubin. I think Encore is too small (size 37) and I got 37.5 for Rubin which feels much better.

Here's the box of Grishko Maya after about 3 weeks of wear. My 3-week is not that much, obviously. Grishko's box is not that strong, so I jet glued them. The shank (I got medium) is fairly strong for me though. So far, they are my most favorite pair. Except the fact that it doesn't come with draw string, and it looks baggy when I do demi-pointe.

I haven't danced much in russian pointe yet, so I can't say whether they are good or not.

Ironically enough, the most "comfortable" pair is Block Balance European. But the box is not wearing out evenly (they are too wide for my feet) and I feel as though I have try extra hard to get over the box.

Hopefully I can find my favorite pair soon!
